So maybe this is why the DC metro gets on my cotton pickin' nerves. I mean c'mon people, should it really take what is usually a 15-20 minute subway ride to and from work, almost an hour and a half!!??
I left for work at the usual time of about 8:30, and between the predictable untimeliness of the bus and the stop and go traffic of the actual trains, I didn't make it in until a quarter to 10. This is some bullshit! I don't know what other city that has major metro problems like the good ole District of Columbia, but I am so beyond over it! Of course I don't live in any other major city, so this could possibly happen all the time there as well without my knowledge.

But the thing that gets me is it's always SOMETHING with them everyday, whether it be a broken escalator or the rude ass people. I mean, how the fuck do you think you can step onto a train without letting people off first? You are a rude muthafucker! And when the conductor says please move to the center of the car and u act like it doesn't pertain to your ass, I want to just push you the fuck out my way. Don't even get me started on some other things like standing on the side of the escalator that you're supposed to be walking on, BITCH MOVE!!!
These are just some things that I have grown accustomed to that I still do not understand, but live with daily. I needed to vent some of that frustration because I really am a nice person, but my tolerance for stupidity is really low. I mean a solution would to get a car and drive....
...but wait,
That's a whole other story!!

Punch the next transgressor in the nuts. At least that'll make you feel better.
No, Atlanta is not like that. I don't ride the train, but I know many who do and they rarely have major delays.
Chicago's CTA has its shares of issues as well...and from the sounds of the cuts being proposed, it's about to get worse.
I feel your pain.
@ mr jones - i'm not tryin to be charged with assault, jail and me don't mix
@ life - well dc needs to get some pointers from the ATL
@ e - dc needs to not copy Chicago, lol
I'm with E. We do have our share of issues here in Chicago...but, yea - sometimes it's a fool. Took me two hours one day to get home, but that's cuz I ride Metra and they had something going on.
lol..damn...what a way to put down the D.C. Metro...it's funny cuz the D.C. metro is the first subway I ever used when I came to the states 4 years ago..its super clean comapred to nasty ass nyc (where I work now) but not as cost effective...lol...I guess nyc is the finest city after-all (-: Jus playin...I really can't complain too much about the subway..it usually goes my way..lol..can't really wait till I go back to dc though..i like the presidential atmosphere...ummm...enjoy your ride lol...
Special K - Don't let Washington, DC fool you. There are two sides to that tale. I always tell people that there are two parts to the city - Washington (white house, downtown, monuments, Capitol, etc.) and D.C. (crack heads, murders, garbage, scary)
New Post!
Another reason why I hate PUBLIC transportation.
I have never even been to a train station in Atlanta. I pay too damn much for my car to be taking a train.
